:Просто в руВП есть карточки-монстры, например, у современных правителей, особенно брежневские (с медалями). Да и зачем дальше дублировать, когда можно отсюда за 1 клик перейти в ВП? ==Словоупотребительные цитаты у Финитора и Khanaon==
Напишу своё мнение для призраков форума (на основе ''Голосование: «Удалить нельзя оставить»'' 2013 (см. ниже) и [[Викицитатник:К удалению/Статьи, полностью состоящие из цитат, не относящихся к предмету статьи|КУ 62 статей]]). Некоторая часть (где-то - 1 или несколько, где-то - больше) цитат, которыми участники наполняют созданные и значительно дополненные ими ''тематические статьи'', связаны с темой лишь ''условно'' - ''тривиальным словоупотреблением'', не раскрывающими объект статьи (напр, в ст. [[тисс]] <small>(с 2 "с" и плодами)</small> во вчерашней версии считаю относящимися к тису ''лишь 5-6 строк'' из 12 Кб; в [[ляпсус]]е - многочисленные перечисления того, что кто-то там считает ляпсусом, или из [[пианино]]: 1-я цит. Чайковского из переписки с фон-Мекк показывает лишь то, что на п. можно играть, для чего, видать, и вставлена 1-й), в итоге некоторые части таких статей напоминают список формируемых отрывков при поиске в Нац. корпусе рус. яз., считаю поэтому, что находиться ''именно в этих статьях они не должны'' (и точно такими же по типу цитатами «викизначимых» людей можно «расширить» эти статьи еще в несколько раз от их текущего состояния). Также цитаты часто копируются без изменений во многие статьи сразу, из-за чего в каждой из статей получается много лишнего. Думаю, что большая часть подобных цитат ''больше всего подходят для статей об их первоисточниках'' (как поэтические описания чего-то совокупного, мнения одних людей о других, или что-то подобное). Вопрос к технически знающим участникам (где вас найти?). Составлял статистику статей (потом как-нибудь пихну её где-то здесь) и нашел '''несоответствие''' показываемого числа ''главного счетчика статей'' [http://ru.wikiquote.org/wiki/Служебная:Статистика Служебная:Статистика] и '''всех других''', по которым можно посчитать страницы в ОП — 1-й показывает примерно на '''2000 больше''' (на 20.08.14 это 12476), чем остальные: это ''Все страницы'' (ссылка, ведущая с ''главного счетчика''!) и идентичные друг другу 2 счетчика «Короткие/длинные страницы» — они показывают число страниц в ОП такое же как [[Служебная:Статистика_проверок]] — на 20.08.14 это 10332. Все названные счетчики точно ''исключают'' страницы перенаправлений (так там написано и проверено лично), их в ВЦ точно больше 7000 (в служебном списке перенаправлений показывается только 5000 первых по алфавиту — он кончается на ''Мо''). Главный счетчик статей '''не''' учитывает ''тупиковые страницы'' (статей без внутренних ссылок или редиректов на них, их сейчас ок. 1200) — проверял простановкой внутр. ссылок, — ''все'' остальные названные ''учитывают''. Список ''Все страницы'' я проверил, скрыв редиректы (показаны, видимо все — проверял некоторые), он глючноват и его надо см. с конца в начало (копипастил для подсчета ок. 50 раз в файл выводящиеся на экран части общего алфавитного списка). Вопрос о счетчиках «Короткие/длинные страницы» на тех. форуме руВП [[w:Википедия:Форум/Архив/Технический/2014/05#Вопрос по счетчику «Короткие страницы»|остался гласом вопиющего]] (''см. там'' доп. пояснения проблемы). Также 01.06.14 считал вручную по категориям руВЦ (б.ч. статей группируются традиционно в категории по алфавиту, видимо для удобства): ''неточно'': Персоналии +2870, Тематические статьи +1110; ''почти точно или точно'': Литературные произведения и поэзия 1900, Фильмы 2520, Мультфильмы 440, Персонажи 150, Фольклор (краткое творчество) 75 — итого 9065 (в т.ч. 1200 ''тупиковых страниц'') — можно поверить что в подкатегориях завалялись какие-то 1100 статей. На панели инстр. слева в ''Сведения о странице'' есть графа ''Учитывается счётчиком как содержательная страница: Да'', если есть в статье внутр. ссылки или редиректы на неё, а в какой тех. список она попадает неизвестно. В нек. др. ВЦ страницы Служебная:Статистика и счётчики на мете не изменились, а на wikistats, наоборот, повысились (руВЦ до 14500). В течение нескольких последних лет Фонд Викимедиа [http://blog.wikimedia.org/2013/08/01/future-https-wikimedia-projects/ работает] над включением [[m:Special:MyLanguage/HTTPS|HTTPS]] по умолчанию для всех участников, в том числе незарегистрированных, для улучшенной конфиденциальности и безопасности для читателей и редакторов. Это заняло много времени, поскольку нужно было учитывать различные аспекты. Наши серверы не были готовы поддерживать это. Фонду Викимедиа приходилось сопоставлять иногда противоречивые цели.
[https://blog.wikimedia.org/2015/06/12/securing-wikimedia-sites-with-https/ Обязательный HTTPS] был только что реализован на всех проектах Викимедиа. Некоторые из вас могут уже знать об этом, так как некоторые языковые разделы Википедии были переведены на HTTPS на прошлой неделе, и затронутые тогда сообщества были уведомлены.
На большинство редакторов Викимедии это не должно повлиять совсем. Если вы редактируете в качестве зарегистрированного участника, то вам, наверное, уже приходилось представляться через HTTPS. There is a [[w:c:Commons:Village_pump/Proposals#Create_PNG_thumbnails_of_static_GIF_images|proposal]] at the Commons Village Pump requesting feedback about the thumbnails of static GIF images: It states that static GIF files should have their thumbnails created in PNG. The advantages of PNG over GIF would be visible especially with GIF images using an alpha channel. (compare the thumbnails on the side)

As some of your might be aware, a small group of Wikimedia volunteers have proposed a banner campaign informing Wikipedia readers about the urgent situation of our fellow Wikipedian, open source software developer and Creative Commons activist, [[:w:Bassel Khartabil|Bassel Khartabil]]. An exemplary [[:m:Special:MyLanguage/Free Bassel/Banner|banner]] and an [[:m:Special:MyLanguage/Free Bassel/Banner|explanatory page]] have now been prepared, and translated into about half a dozen languages by volunteer translators.
We are seeking [[:m:Special:MyLanguage/Free Bassel/Banner/Straw poll|your involvement to decide]] if the global Wikimedia community approves starting a banner campaign asking Wikipedia readers to call on the Syrian government to release Bassel from prison. We understand that a campaign like this would be unprecedented in Wikipedia's history, which is why we're seeking the widest possible consensus among the community.
